I like it! - Updated
Update: Well, it's been a few weeks. We're still using this robot nearly everyday. My biggest complaint is the pattern it uses. The robot has three patterns: random (where it goes straight, bumps into something, turns a random angle and goes straight until it hits something again and repeat), circular and edge. It cycles too quickly through random & circular so that it spends most of its time on the edges. If it's given a half hour to clean a room, it will sweep the edges about 6 times while much less time is spent on the main part of the room. If the robot starts the circular pattern, it continues it until it runs into something. This is great if your room is perfectly square with your furniture in it, but not so great if your room is like most rooms and the edge around the furniture is definitely not a square. Unless the circle is started in the exact center of the room (unlikely - you can't choose what pattern it starts on - usually it starts on random) it will spend MAYBE 30...
love it!
I have hardwood floors and very few area rugs. I think it works Great for sweeping. This one cant be scheduled so I just run while I am doing other things. If it gets stuck I rescue it no biggie. I really love that it gets under all of my furniture, beds, dressers, and tables. The places that are the most difficult to get to without having to move anything.
Very helpful if you have pets
I bought this at a discount store for 49.00. It is a refurbished model, and I have only used it three times. That being said, I really like this priduct. We have hard wood and a cat, so I really wanted this to pick up the cat hair. I ran it last night for about 45 minutes, and it covered the middle section of our split level home, which includes our kitchen, dining room and a sitting room/foyer. I love how it goes under the furniture. Each time I've emptied it I have found a lot of cat hair and dirt that I seem to miss when I vacuum/sweep. I have not experienced any of the issues that other reviewers have thus far. I am hoping I contiue to love this. I would not pay 100.00 for it though, as I am a little on the frugal side.
