The part arrived quickly and when installed, so far works great. The last one we got locally, only lasted a short time. Had the washing machine for 15 years before it needed a new pump. That replacement only lasted 3 years. I hope this one last longer!
Exact Replacement
The pump arrived before the next weekend; three screws and two hose clamps to install. It couldn't have been any easier. Less than half the price Maytag wanted.
Washer pump
Water pump was cheaply made. Well below Maytag standards. Lasted for one washing then pulley came off. The plastic framework of the pump was fragile compared to the original pump which lasted 17 years. Must be aware that the belt drive must have more slack as it just a plastic pump. It was "made in China".
