I bought this after having a bad experience with the meat grinding attachment for my Kitchenaid. This thing is a hardcore meat grinder compared to the Kitchenaid attachment for not a lot more money. Easy to clean, makes short work of any grinding. Great price and great product!
Great family-sized grinder
The day it arrived, I ground 2# of hamburg. Worked fine. This weekend we ground 70# of boneless pork shoulder - 10# breakast sausage, 30# Italian sausage and 30# kielbasa. We used separate sausage stuffer. We found it worked best if the meat was very cold (adding ice and water as we used it) and chilled the meat between grinding. We ground each batch twice and after some experimenting, decided the best results were achieved using the biggest grinding plate. Cut the meat into long strips, about 3/4" x 3/4". It's also helpful to lightly wipe the grinding plates and blade with vegetable oil when storing.
I bought this grinder to replace a commercial one I loaned to a neighbor 10+ years ago (while I was gone for several years) and never got back. While it doesn't have the capacity our old grinder had, this unit is more than adequate for family usage.

what can you say this grinder does the job and does it well, no downside at all. I grind alot of meat and so far no problems, I do not make sasuage so i can not address that feature
