not as pictured
According to the picture, you will receive the brand name Filtrete by 3M which is recommended by Eureka. However, I received some other generic. Therefore, I rated this item only one star because it is NOT as pictured.
I did return the item. Amazon customer service was terrific, so if I was rating their service it would be five stars. I did have to call someone, but they sent the return label to my email within mintues. They received the package three days later, and accepted the return within hours of receiving it. It does say that it could take up to 10 days for the credit to show (I only just got notice of return accepted - I don't expect it to take 10 days to see credit).
Thank you Amazon for your excellent customer service. That's why we keep shopping here!

I bought this filter thinking it would fit my unit because the numbers DCF-21 matched the original filter that came with my vacuum. Not the case. This Filtrete filter is made without some little grooves or ridges on the bottom of it that need to be pressed into the vacuum and turned to lock it into place. Filtrete customer service was great to me and sent out a new filter which I should receive in a few days. That doesn't help me today with cat & dog hair on the carpet and people coming over soon. I also have my doubts that what they are mailing me will be any different than this defective product. Without the little plastic bits, it took lots of masking tape and frustration to get this to work well enough to do a quick clean up. I will not buy this again, but will instead spend the extra couple dollars to get the real thing direct from Eureka.
Not as advertised
It was listed as a 3M Filtrete DCF-21 Allergen Filter but I received a EnviroCare DCF-21 Odor Neutralizing Filter. Twice I tried to return it but was ignored by Amazon both times. I'm very unimpressed.
